Father and son Bruce and Brodie Dawson are behind this award-winning Canadian brand with a lot of flavour and a lot of heart
Dawson's Hot Sauce counts Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron as a fan since the Canadian, family-owned business gained fame on Hot Ones Season 5 with its Original Hot, which the Mad Max star thoroughly enjoyed.
The brand's story started back in 2010, when Brodie Dawson began making sauces as a hobby. But it wasn’t until 2013 that Dawson’s Hot Sauce was born, after he gave up a music career.
Brodie and his dad, Bruce, have been there from the start, crafting a line of their own sauces as well as private label projects and joint ventures in Hamilton, Ontario. Since 2017, these products have been available worldwide, confidently bringing preservative-free hot sauces in bottles that feature their signature hand-crafted wax seal.
The collection now features 14 products, including many that have won prestigious industry awards and four that have appeared on Hot Ones: the Original (a House of Habanero favourite), Shawarma Sauce, Cedar Smoked Garlic and their newest addition, Zuzu's 7-Pot Sauce.
The selection incorporates all manner of interesting ingredients, from cremini mushrooms to Sichuan peppercorns, making them all worthy of a place in your collection.
