Friends Kaneyn Lloyd Allen and Stig Melón-Bratvold founded this Norwegian sauce company and ferment all peppers for at least 30 days
Australian Kaneyn Lloyd Allen moved from Down Under to Norway because he fell in love with a girl. There, he met Stig Melón-Bratvold and the duo set up Lloyd & Melón after bonding over a shared passion for chilli, explosive flavours and culinary experiences.
Kaneyn has more than 20 years of experience as a professional chef, so he’s in charge of making the sauces, while designer and entrepreneur Stig is responsible for branding and business things.
The sauces have been in the works for years, as Kaneyn has been experimenting with ingredients and fermentation processes. What they have released so far use the freshest, most natural ingredients they can find and the peppers have been fermented for at least 30 days. They have all been created in small batches by hand.
Taste profiles are bold, such as Cayenne and Lemongrass, which is available on House of Habanero. It's a fermented sauce for everyday use with a punch that also mixes ginger, garlic and cherry tomatoes.
