From the heart of Eindhoven comes this Dutch brand that has birthed all sorts of unique sauces, including the delicious garlicky Gnarlicky
This is how the story of White Whale Sauces goes: Once upon a time, a Dutch boy, who thought black pepper was spicy, met a Turkish girl. She opened up the wonderful world of spicy food to him and soon their combined years of kitchen experience birthed all kinds of amazing sauces.
That boy was Tom Vermeulen and now he runs White Whale Sauces out of Eindhoven in The Netherlands where he continues coming up with super-flavourful concoctions.
These include Gnarlicky, which uses unholy amounts of garlic confit and fermented black garlic, with habanero, mustard seed, thyme, rosemary and activated charcoal. Then there’s Limonhello, a very tangy, zesty madame jeanette-based sauce with loads of lemon and a bit of carrot, bell pepper, ginger, apple cider vinegar and turmeric.
Braeburnt apples, kombucha and even dandelions provide bases for the brand's other unique creations.
