Mainstream Mexican brand Cholula has created a very decent chipotle-based sauce, which is based on a 100-year-old family recipe, that blends arbol and piquin peppers with signature spices for an authentic-tasting sauce that’s distinctive for its smokiness. Its barbecue flavour and rich colour means it pairs well with salsa, corn on the cob, burgers, grilled meats and more.

Cholula is one of few mainstream brands we stock, because, while we at House of Habanero prefer small-batch and hand-crafted creations, we still believe there’s a place for affordable brands that prioritise flavour and heritage over fire and gimmicks.
