Dried Morita Chillies (whole) 100g

Dried morita chillies are smoke-dried, fully ripened red jalapeños with a beautiful balance of fruitiness, smoke and medium heat. Think of them as a softer, slightly juicier style of chipotle, still smoky and earthy, but with more of the chilli’s natural sweetness coming through.

Sitting around 2,500 to 10,000 SHU, moritas bring an approachable warmth with notes of red fruit, gentle acidity, chocolate, tobacco and rich smoke. Soak them in warm water before blending into Mexican salsas, adobos, moles, stews, braised meats and barbecue sauces.
