The infamous Carolina Reaper – currently the world’s second-hottest pepper after the Pepper X – forms the base for Hiss-y Fit by Fat Cat Gourmet. It’s a furious, flavourful extra-hot sauce that’s also blended with savoury jalapenos and roasted peppers.

It starts off punchy and tart-sweet, followed by a garlic-red pepper middle ground and an effervescent bubbling in the mouth, before the Reaper heat takes over. The burn builds slowly, but lingers for a long time. Dab it on steak, seafood and barbecued meats, toss it with wings, dollop it in stews and soups, or mix it into pasta and dips.

Vinegar, reaper pepper mash (reaper peppers, vinegar), jalapeno pepper mash (jalapeno peppers, salt), roasted red peppers (roasted peppers, water, salt, citric acid), water, turbinado sugar, garlic (garlic, water), paprika, xanthan gum.
