Born in the Czech Republic, these chilli “strips” are nothing like your average crisps (or “chips”). Hot Chip, a brand from Ostrava committed to small-batch production and eco-friendly packaging, has created a line of all-vegan, gluten- and preservative-free snacks that bring plenty of heat.

Limed Habaneros have medium heat, up to about 40,000 Scoville Heat Units. They’re made of pulses and chia seeds, so have decent protein content, as well as omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, and also combine the charred flavours of smoky jalapenos. Now you can eat the whole bag without feeling guilty.

Pea flour (81%), rapeseed oil, chia seeds, sea salt, chilli smoked jalapenos (1.3%), habaneros (1.3%), sugar, carrot, garlic, onion, parsnip, parsley, spice mix, yeast extract.
